A Gift From New York

My friend Tracy recently took a trip to New York for a few days and brought Sydney and I back a little gift each!  I got a package of Dean and Deluca chocolates with eight different kinds of chocolate from around the world, each with it's own distinct flavor palate.  (Yes, shamefully one of the bars is missing as I shamelessly ate it before taking the picture!)

Sydney's gift was so cool, it is a package of crystal shaped crayons, they actually look like real cut crystals and are perfect for holding in her little hand!  The crystal shaped crayons were from a Van Cleef & Arpels exhibit that the Cooper Hewitt museum was staging.  Sydney's nanny Beth quickly noticed that these crayons were not the washable variety before Sydney created an exhibit of her own on our walls, so we have dubbed them the "outside crayons" for Syd's creativity inspired by nature!
