Today was Sydney's friend Beau's second birthday party. His party was done in a Peter Rabbit theme, it was fantastic! The house was adorned with Peter Rabbit decals on the windows and fridge and helium balloons lined the ceiling. All the Moms had a great time sipping champagne while the kids played and snacked!
It was like a reunion with all of the little guest arriving, the same bunch as last year only bigger, oh so much bigger! It was fun to see all the kids playing together and to welcome a couple of newborn siblings to the group as well. I think both Beau's Mom and I were feeling a little wistful at how quickly our babes second birthdays have arrived, feels like just yesterday we were planning their first birthdays!
All of the food was in keeping with the Peter Rabbit book, veggies from the garden, blackberries and little mini homemade "rabbit" pies! So yummy!
Beau's mom served the most decadent vanilla mocha cupcakes with two little candles for her little man's birthday and his Dad did a story time with the kids and read them all the Tales of Peter Rabbit book, very sweet!
Sydney Rabbit came home with a Peter Rabbit loot bag filled with two books and Peter Rabbit juice. She absolutely loved the loot bag, emptied it out to see what was inside, then put everything back in and carried it around the house for the remainder of the evening. She cried when she couldn't take it in the bath with her!
It was a lovely day celebrating with Beau and his family. Happy 2nd Birthday Beau, thanks for having us share the day with you!
