Ladybug Party

What a great day we had today celebrating Sydney's birthday with her little buddies.  We had a wonderful birthday celebration at Jump! Gymnastics in Yaletown with 11 of her little friends.  Jump! was such a great venue, the gym was the perfect size for the little ones and there was a parent's lounge where we sat and sipped champagne and nibbled on appys before heading to the kids party room for cake.

The kids had a great time playing in the gym on the trampolines, ball pit, slides, tunnels and balance beams.  We had a circle time and played a passing game with a stuffed ladybug, in keeping with our theme!  Sydney even wore a ladybug t-shirt to carry the theme of the party, she looked so sweet!

I served champagne with strawberries floating in it and a rose wine, along with a cheese platter, fruit platter, caprese salad toothpicks, cumin hummus and sushi.  The kids enjoyed a variety of snacks along with little grilled cheese sandwiches cut out into mini hearts and stars with Sydney's playdough cookie cutters!

The cake was absolutely amazing, it was made by Michelle from "Piece Of Cake Creations" and she did the most amazing ladybug cake in fondant along with mini cupcakes for the kids.  Not only did they look amazing, but tasted incredible!  Sydney was so excited to see the ladybug cake and cupcakes, it was worth it just to see the look on her face!  All of the guest absolutely loved the cake too, it was the highlight of the party for sure!!

I got a load of ladybug theme party paraphernalia from Celebrate Express online, plates, napkins, balloons, loot boxes, place mats, it was fantastic!

We sent each guest home with a loot bag filled with a full sized ladybug cupcake in a special cupcake box, also made by Michelle from "Piece of Cake Creations", a ladybug cookie with a tag thanking the guests for coming to the party made by Sonia at "Sugary Sweet Things" and a little loot box filled with a stuffed ladybug, mini hairbrush and mirror, a sheet of stickers, a party blower and a ladybug notepad and crayons.  The coaches at Jump! tied a helium balloon to each bag as well and the kids were thrilled to leave with a little present of their own.

And speaking of presents....did Sydney ever get spoiled!!  We have a mountain of presents to open, I am thinking of having Syd open one a day for the next couple of weeks just so that she can enjoy each gift instead of being overwhelmed by having so many all at once!

When we got home tonight I told her that she could open one present, she chose the one from her friend Weston and absolutely loved the little ladybug book and horse carrier made by Wow Toys that he gave her!

The gang at Jump! sent Sydney home with her own souvenir, a little t-shirt to remember the day!

It was a wonderful day and memory celebrating Sydney's 2nd birthday!  Will post more pictures later this week when I get them from the photographer!

Happy, happy birthday to my Little Ladybug!
