Lunch with Andrea

This afternoon we had our friends Andrea, Aaro and Hattan over for lunch.  We have been neighbors with Andrea and her family since before Sydney was born, they lived just a few blocks away from us.  We love being able to pop by their place for a playdate or visit or to drop something fun on their doorstep as a little surprise.

Sydney decided that she was going to set up her art supplies in the backyard today for she and Aaro to play with.

Lunch today was a bit of a goodbye, as Andrea and her family have just moved to West Vancouver.  They are building their dream home there and have managed to find a rental a few doors down from where there new house is being built, for the next few months while they finish construction.  We will miss having them in our neighborhood!

We enjoyed a lovely lunch in our backyard.  I made a giant pot of my Roasted Yam and Veggie Soup and some of my No-Knead Cheesebread.  It was such a delicious combination together!

Andrea made me an amazing strawberry rhubarb pie, she is the best cook and baker ever!  Paul and I enjoyed it tonight for dessert after dinner with our tea.

Aaro also brought Sydney something special from their recent trip to Disneyland, a set of Mickey Mouse ears personalized with Sydney's name on the back!  Love them!  They are inspiring me to book a trip to Disneyland for Syd soon!

It was such a fantastic visit with Andrea and the boys, I feel so blessed to know them and am looking forward to many fun and new memories with them in their new West Vancouver home!

We received a special parcel in the mail today, some new personalized towels from Pottery Barn Kids that I ordered for Sydney's bathroom.

Hungry Caterpillar!

Owls!

They really complete the bathroom and make it seem all hers!  She loved that her name was on them!

We had art class at 4 Cats this afternoon, was such a fun class!

Sydney got to take home her beach scene complete with the clay seahorse, fish and crab that she made!  Super cute!

Today marks my 350th blog posting.  I am so grateful to have been able to capture my days and moments with Sydney here to read for years to come!  Thank you for reading!
