Busy Girl

Here's a few snapshots of how Sydney spent her weekend:

Feeding the Birds

We got a new squirrel proof bird feeder for our back yard that clamps shut if anything heavier than a tiny bird rests on the foot rests, so we filled it up and hung it in the maple tree in the backyard this weekend so that Sydney can see it from the kitchen window.  It's amazing how many sweet little birds have been in our backyard since and Sydney is thrilled when she catches one feeding at the feeder!

Nature Walk

The leaves are changing colour everywhere we look these days so we took a nature walk the other day to capture some of the beautiful fall colours everywhere!

Flower Picking

Sydney picked what last few flowers she could find on her way home from our nature walk and set them gently into our lavender bush in the back yard.  I quite like that it looks like it's blooming in October!

Collecting Leaves

Sydney is so into collecting the beautiful fall leaves these days.  She has made some gorgeous leaf bouquets along the way.

Tire Swing

Syd learned a new trick on the tire swing at Southlands Park yesterday.  She can now stand on the swing while holding on and rocking herself.  Pretty good balance!

Snack with Baby

Syd loves to sit on the front porch anytime the weather is sunny so yesterday when the sun made an appearance she dragged her little stool, baby and a snack out to the front porch for a little Vitamin D!

Facecloth Train

Syd did the funniest thing the other day while I was getting ready in the morning.  She took all the facecloths out of my closet and made a train with them across my bedroom floor and then used my makeup mirror as her steering wheel for the train.  It was super cute!

Granville Island Time

Today was the most gorgeous fall day in Vancouver!  We took full advantage of it and headed to Granville Island in the morning with Syd.  She cycled along the seawall, fed the birds and enjoyed a gelato in the sun.  A perfect Vancouver day!
